Jansch OFM Cap, Fr. Ronald F.
Fr. Ronald Jansch OFM Cap, 89, of St. Lawrence Seminary in Mount Calvary,
WI, passed away peacefully Monday, July 28, 2014, at the Villa Loretto
Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.
He was born *January 30, 1925, in Neisse, Silesia*, Germany; a son of the
late Francis & Anna (Jahnel) Jansch. His family immigrated to the United
States in 1930. He was enrolled at Our Lady Queen of Angels School in New
York City, which was served by friendly and dedicated Capuchins. This
inspired him to proceed with his vocation. Fr. Ron entered the Capuchin
Order in 1942 and was ordained into the priesthood in 1950. In 1953, he
began his distinguished teaching career as a historian at St. Lawrence
Seminary in Mount Calvary, Wisconsin. In 1964, he began teaching theology
at Marian College in Fond du Lac where he also served as Chaplain from 1968
to 1985. He continued part time as a history professor until 2002;
attaining an academic achievement of 50 years of teaching.

*Voit, Ruth G. (nee/ geborene Voelkel) Age 87, of Terrace Gardens, in
Morton Grove, died August 10, 2014.* Beloved wife of the late John Voit;
loving mother of Norbert (Margaret) Voit and grandmother of Thomas and
Patrick Voit; dear sister of Ilse (Edward) Derderian and Hertha (the late
Horst) Melcher. *Born in Breslau, Silesia , Germany (now Wroclaw, Poland)
on August 7, 1927*, Ruth and her family emigrated to America in 1956. She
worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for decades, enjoyed
retirement in Mountain Home, AR, and moved back to the Chicago area after
the death of her husband. She will be missed. Rest in peace. Chicago
