What do you say to a total stranger who is somehow related toyou?

No, not yet. I am planning a trip to do some more research this weekend. I
just found out that we have a big research type place next door to the
Mormon temple in one of the suburbs near me. That will be my project this
weekend. And perhaps my relatives in Germany can help me as well, if they write
back!

Wouldn't it be fascinating to put all these pieces together? The more I
dig, the more excited I get!

Uh-oh. I think we've just witnessed someone coming down with an incurable case of "genealog-osis". :-))

How did that old Blondie song go? "The tide is high but I'm holding on..."

Someone throw out a life raft quick! SOS

Call that Mormon Family History Center to get their
hours before you make the trip over, if it's a distance.

Some are open only once or twice a week for a few hours.

Ours is a busy one and does have Sat. hours 9 a.m.-12 noon,
but no Mon, Tue, Friday (their Sabbath) or Sun. It is open
10-3 Wed and Thu, plus 6-9 Thu evening. Each one varies.
I think they depend on volunteers.

If you can't reach them by phone, check on the entrance door
for the Family History Center as the hours may be posted
there.
