I am a new member of the list. My name is Connie Wallukait and I live in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. I am researching the Wallukait. The oldest member I have is David Wallukait.

David Wallukait b: 1862 in Germany d: bef 1930 probably in Humboldt County, Iowa

partial information from his naturalization papers:

1st day of December 1908
District Court of Humbolt County, Iowa held at Dakota City, Iowa
Age, 46 years
Name, age and place of residence of wife Marie Hansen Wallukit, 43, Dakota City, Iowa.

Name, age and place of residence of minor children:
Martin 16 years
Mads 14 years
Andrew 12 years
Christina 9 years
Hans 7 years
Chris 4 years
John 2 years
all reside in Dakota City, Iowa

David Wallukit (msp), who previous to his naturalization was a subject of Wilhelm II, Emperor of Germany

......having found that the petitioner had resided continuously within the United States for at least
five years and in this state for one year immediately preceding the date of the hearing of his petition
and said petitioner intends to reside permantely in the United States........

1920 US census lists David Walukait family in Dakota City. Emigrants from Germany in 1903.

This is all the information I have on David Wallukait. If anyone can help me research David I would be extremely grateful. Or maybe someone can point me in the right direction to research him.

I had a look into the German Telephone Register
the name Wallukait, Wallukit, Wallukeit
is not known
but there are about 90 Wallukat Entries all over Germany
meilleurs voeux

The Wallukait family is from Schelswig-Holstein, Germany. I show the
following children of David Wallukait and Marie Hansen born here.

Martin b: 01 Apr 1892
Mads b: 08 Feb 1894
Andrew b: 14 Sep 1896
Christina b: 1899

The other 3 children were born in Iowa, USA. I believe they immigrated to
the US in 1901.
