I have some Kruegers from Mecklenburg in my family tree, from the area of Parchim. They came to the Milwaukee area, setting first in Milwaukee County on the County Line Road in Wauwatosa, then moving to Brookfield. Do you know what church your family attended in the Milwaukee area and when they arrived?
My Kruegers included my great great grandmother Sophie Krueger Brede and her mother, Elisabeth (probably born Peters) Krueger. Sophie, Elisabeth, and Sophie's husband Wilhelm Brede arrived in the US in December 1871 aboard the ship Prinz Albert.
The Bucholtz name looks familiar to me -- I think it is possible that my grandmother Ella Bradee Ziemer did know this family.
If you can find the church they attended when they first came to the US, it will help a lot.
