Teehee...and message about wolle in mn

Bonita, Michael,

   teehee,

Yours gets me going too. I guess we all know the frustration that
brings out the comments. I know that is why I find it tickling my
funny bone. I have to admit, I put my search on hold for awhile. I
have letters to write. I will go at it again later.

The new clues from AIDA let me know the time span. But created lots
   of mystery names.

   good luck everyone.

I am learning new ways to spell Meyer. Miehr. i had not thought of
that one. I am really behind with my genealogy mailing lists.

Bonita, do you have any Wolle in Mn.? I think they are connected to
Howe. I know for sure with Sander. I wonder how common the name is. I
can't help wonder what the name means.

Hi Jo,
I have Wolle in Iowa. And a distant cousin there is trying to find if there's a connection between those Wolle's near Terril, Iowa, to some in the area of southern Minnesota.

There are only 123 WOLLEs listed in the Social Security Death Index - that's not many. Compare with 15,000 HOWE, and 3000 Sander.

The name could mean "wool", as in the fiber from sheep.

Mona, descended from WOLLE in Altenebstorf.

Hallo Listies,

In case you haven't stumbled upon this excellent site.

Could be my imaginaiton working overtime...

Mny of the surnames mentioned in the varoius biographies seem familiar from hannover-l.

Dear Listies,

I should have posted the every name index link. This list are surnames mentioned in the various biographies that are not in the main index.

These would be names of people associated with the person who is the subject of the biographiy...

Parent names, marriage partners, spouses parents names, childrens marriage partners...etc.

The page numbers are in groups of 5.

Mona is also descended from a Hilmer ... the names are so intermixed, I
think I even have a WOLLE in Germany .. in the 1700s.

Thank you, Barbie-Lew,

I'm from Nebraska and I found a narrative about my great-grandfather,
John Lammers who was born in Sustrum in the Emsland area. It is interesting
to see that some of the information is wrong. There are many "tales" about
our ancestors and not all of it is correct.

Barbara,
I have Lammers relatives in Nebraska. Three of my dad's sisters married Lammers boys. You can see what I have on the family on my website - scroll down to "Inter-connected Families". Let me know if you think there might be a connection.

Hello Mona,

What a nice website you have! I don't think there are any connections
to my Nebraska Lammers family. We lived in north-eastern Nebr. My
great-grandfather came with no family, although there was a brother who came
later. They went to Cincinnati, then New Vienna Iowa, and finally Nebraska
(very near South Dakota and Iowa).

Oh, well. I thought it would be a lot of fun if we found one.
Thanks for checking.
