I am a new member of the list living in the California, United States
My name is Conrad Holsomback. I have been a researcher of my surname for 11 years.
We have a site on MyFamily.com with over 200 members researching the Holsomback, Holsonback, Holzenbach, Halsenbach and all other variations of the spelling of our surname; at one time we found 97 variations of the spelling of the name.
We have found our earliest Palatine ancestor in North Carolina Colony in 1763 and another in South Carolina Colony in 1772.
We have searched ship lists, census lists, libraries, court houses and other avenues of research trying to fine our earliest immigrant and where in Germany he came from, but no luck so far.
So my request is for anyone who can help us find our European ancestors and our cousins in Germany.
I would appreciate any help that anyone can give me.
