While looking at the 1880 census for the name Houser in Will County,
Illinois, I found a family for which the first name of the Father is recorded as
SINOORID.
I looked at the image and can not make a better interpretation. I could
not find another record for this family. The correct surname is Hauser.
Can anyone make a suggestion as to what his name would be. There is a
SIMON in the family; could it be SIMON?
I have run into some strange spellings over the years. My favorite is
AGADA who's name is AGATHA; at least the census take was close.
