Hello Suzanne and Darleen, there are 3 of us now in search of ancestors by the name Schönfeldt (Schoenfeldt) via the Mecklenburg-l mailing list. I hope this email will serve as a connection point between you two (or maybe you have met before?). On my own behalf I can only repeat this: My greatgreatfather Johan Heinrich Schoenfeldt was born 18. April 1829 in Gross Wokern, presumably in the parish of Klaber south of the town Teterow in Mecklenburg, Germany (a place I found by means of (www.MFPeV.de).) A good help in the geography is a local map like mine: "Die General Karte" Grossraum-Ausgabe 1:200.000, covering Ostseekûste Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Blatt 9 from Mairs Geographischer Verlag.
