Please forgive my writing in English. I am looking for information on the following:
The marriage of Frida SCHIERBAUM of Wildeshausen, geb. 1868, to August STARK, sometime between 1888 and 1891. She was Lutheran and I believe she was christened at the St. Alexanders Church in Oldenburg. Perhaps she was married there as well.
I am also looking for the date of the death of her husband, August STARK, sometime between 1891 and 1895. She emigrated to the US in November 1895 as a widow.
Frida and August Stark had a son, August Friedrich Stark, born 1891. In America he gives his birthplace as only "Hannover." I would like to know what city or village.
Family myth says that Frida and August Stark had a second child born before 1895, and that when she was widowed and went to America to find work as a housekeeper, she was forced to leave one child behind and took only 4 year old August with her on the trip. I am trying to find out if this mystery child exists. I hope I can solve the mystery!
