I am looking for the location of the Polish town that was formerly Sassenberg, Pomerania... I believe it
is called Chlebowo, although I find two towns by that name on the maps...

I don't think such a place existed in Pommern but
Sassenburg did. Don't quite know how to explain where it is
today as I dodn't have any Polish maps but when it was
German it was in the Regierungsbezirk Köslin, Kreis and
Amtsgericht Bublitz. The Standesamt was located in
Kasimirshof. It was 13 KM east of Schönau.

Hallo Liste,
vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen. Ich suche Geraltowitz / polnisch
Geraltowicz Oberschlesien. Der Ort hat bis 1920 zu Gleiwitz gehrt und wurde dann zum
polnischen Rybnik geschlagen. Heute habe die Polen dies wieder korrigiert.
Geralotowitz gehrt wieder zu Gleiwitz. Frage: in welchem Kreisbuch der
Oberschlesier ist Geraltowitz verzeichnet: Gleiwitz oder Rybnik. Vielleicht wei
auch Jemand die Internet-Adresse der beiden Kreise. Die Patenstdte Bottrop
bzw. Dorsten sind mir bekannt.
Gru Bernd
Das wre eine gute Frage an die "Oberschlesien-Liste".

If it was in Reg.Bezirk Ko:slin, then it was in Pommern.
