I am new to the list and would like to post my German interest.
Wilhelm Ludwick Ernest Frederick ROEPCKE born on 10.9.1855 Dargun Mechlenburg-Schwerin who married Mary M (details unknown). They had 3 children: Frederic Wilhelm born 17.2.1878, Minna born in 1880 and Lilly born on 27.11.1887. On the 28.9.1906 Wilhelm acquired Hamburg Citizenship. He left Hamburg in 1883 for Port Adelaide, South Australia aboard the "Catonia" and his wife and children followed the following year aboard the "Procida" in 1884. The family returned to Germany but Frederic came out again by himself to settle in South Australia (date unknown).
I would appreciate if anyone with access to the FRANZ SCHUBERT LISTS could look up the family in volume for Dargun, or if anyone has access to SHIPPING LISTS to find out when the family went back to Germany and Frederic came out again (there are no records here in South Australia).
I would also be grateful for any help/suggestions on researching the family in Germany or love to hear from someone researching the same name.
