zum ersten Mal seit ich auf der Liste mit lese finde ich den Namen BIRKE in
einer Mail. Daraus schliesse ich, dass der Name recht selten sein muss. Ich
schicke Dir also mal alles was ich �ber meine Birke-Vorfahren kenne.

1. Maria Anna Bertha BIRKE. Her married name was EITEL. She was born on
18.4.1890 in Kgl. Gr�ditz, Schlesien. She also went by the name of Mieze.
She married Christian Ludwig Manfred EITEL, son of Christian EITEL and
Elisabetha KAUFMANN, on 16.3.1917 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien. She died on
9.9.1964 in Haslach i.K. at age 74. She was buried on 12.9.1964 in Haslach
i.K., Baden-W�rttemberg.

2. Paul BIRKE was born on 27.8.1857 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien. He was Roman
Catholic. He was He was a brewery owner [Brauereibesitzer]. In 1900 He
travelled to Rome with his Brother Moritz who was a Catholic priest. During
that journey His brother died and was buried in Rome. Paul bought a small
golden cross with 4 small emeralds. As of 2003 this beautiful piece of
jewellery was owned by Marianne EITEL. In Nov. 1904, Paul installed
electricity in his house in Gr�ditz. He was the very first one in the
village who had this new technology and invited all friends, relatives and
business partners to a hunting party and after that to a big dinner in order
to celebrate the electric light. It was a well planned event because
especially for this party he wrote a song about having electricity now.
There is still a copy of the lyrics showing his hand writing. He married
Anna HEIN, daughter of Hermann HEIN and Maria SCHOLZ, on 17.7.1887 in
Gr�ditz, Schlesien. He died on 25.11.1937 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien, at age 80.
3. Anna HEIN was born on 28.10.1868 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien. As of 17.7.1886,
her married name was BIRKE. She married Paul BIRKE, son of Carl Wilhelm
August BIRKE and Berta Ottilie J�KISCH, on 17.7.1887 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien.
She died on 28.5.1945 in Waldenburg, Schlesien, at age 76. She was buried in
Gr�ditz, Schlesien.

4. Carl Wilhelm August BIRKE was born on 8.1.1824 in Friedland (b.
Breslau), Schlesien. He was Roman Catholic. He was Brewery leaseholder and
brewery owner. He married Berta Ottilie J�KISCH on 8.1.1854 in Gr�ditz,
Schlesien. He died on 28.9.1866 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien, at age 42.
5. Berta Ottilie J�KISCH was born on 12.9.1828 in Hohgiersdorf. She was
Lutheran Protestant. As of 8.1.1854, her married name was BIRKE. She married
Carl Wilhelm August BIRKE, son of Franz Florian BIRKE and Antonie BERNATZKY,
on 8.1.1854 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien. She died on 1.7.1915 in Gr�ditz,
Schlesien, at age 86.
6. Hermann HEIN was born on 24.12.1840 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien. He was Roman
Catholic. He was Estate owner[Gutsbesitzer]. He married Maria SCHOLZ. He
died on 15.8.1903 in Gr�ditz, Schlesien, at age 62.
7. Maria SCHOLZ. Her married name was HEIN. She was born on 3.9.1844 in
K�ltschen. She married Hermann HEIN. She died on 29.3.1890 in Gr�ditz,
Schlesien, at age 45.

married Antonie BERNATZKY.
9. Antonie BERNATZKY was born in 1800. She married Franz Florian BIRKE, son
of Anton BIRKE and Johanna JUSTIN. Her married name was BIRKE. She died in
1881.
