Hi there Preussen Family Researchers, HELP PLEASE!!
We are trying to find some ancestors (and maybe some living connections still in Germany or Poland etc.) of my husbands Great Grandparents who migrated to Australia in 1872. At present we have no knowledge of their parents or their birthplace.
They sailed from Hamburg on the ship Hershel on 01/12/1871 and arrived in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia on 07/03/1872.
The Grandparents were;
Martin Lehmann born c1835 most likely in Prussia, his Wife Louisa Harm born c1837.
Children;
Wilhelm born in Crussow Uckermark 18/02/1861 (My husbands Grandfather)
Auguste born c1863 possibly Crussow.
Emilie born c1866 .. .. ..
Maria born c1869 .. .. .. Died on the voyage.
Louise born c1870 .. .. ..
Martha born in Australia Benjamin .. .. ..
Albert .. .. ..
If there is anyone who is related to this family or knows of them we would love to hear from you. There are now many descendants of the family in Australia but there is a blank as far as information about their Prussian roots is concerned, and that is sad.

I also have a request on behalf of my sister-in-law who is descended from the Neuendorfs who originated in Prussia.
Her Grandparents were Ferdinand Friedrich Neuendorf born c1884 and his wife Anna Auguste Schmunk c 1886. We are not sure if they were born in Prussia or just after the family came to Queensland Australia.
So if anyone can help with any of these requests we would be most grateful.
