I would say amen to this. Maureen also had a good idea "If we delete the "advertising" at the end --- signatures of the various ISPs, etc. --- it does take up less room in the archives." I would also add "Just copy the part of the digest to which you are responding. If you give just enought so that we can find it or know what your response refers to rather than copying in large amounts of previous digests.
