Re: Hannover-L digest, Vol 1 #1018 - 13 msgs

Hello Carl,

Thanks for asking about my Lentz line.

My gr-gr-grandmother, Rose Regina (Rosina) Lentz, was born about 1834 in Baden, Germany. Her parents were Lorenz Lentz and Catherine (Unknown). Rosina, her parents, and at least 2 sisters (Magdalena and ??) were born in Baden. Lorenz died in Louisville KY August 27, 1850. The others were in Louisville KY in the 1860 Census, along with a sister, Josephine, born in Kentucky, who was twelve years old at the time of that Census. Rosina was married to Andreas Huber on May 19, 1859; he came from Herzthal, Baden, Germany in 1852. Also in the Huber household were Cath. Lentz and two other daughters, Lena and Josephine.

It doesn't look like there's a connection, however, if you do find one, I'd be interested in knowing about it.

Herztal (not Herzthal) is a part of the town Oberkirch in Baden-Würtemberg.
It is located close to the France border, about 20 miles easterly from Strasborg/Elsas-France.
Around Oberkirch you can find 380 Huber addresses, look www.teleauskunft.de
