So, this and sicknesses should be added to our MEDICAL charts....
We have them don't we?
And on these charts we cite WHEN (the ages) the malady occurred.....
so that it can be determined if it is more genetic than environmental.....
And we use the official description .......
And if we don't know about the elders, we ask for a 'best guess' regarding their medical history....

I have looked into the disease side of genealogy and found that it can be
very helpful.
I try to include notes about major illnesses and cause of death when I can
find it.
My Aunt just died of something that I can found in two generations of one
branch of the family tree. I have to believe that is a genetic link.
