Wow, you're lucky! I have a lot of family heirlooms, but unfortunately I don't know who got these (linens and silver and a ring)! But there were a lot of children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, etc.

Hi Bonnie:
I was able to trace these items through wills. My g-grand was very specific in his will as were his daughters, etc. I've noted:
Very few remembrances of Mathias and his family have been found. Mathias had left all jewelry, pictures, etc. to his daughter Emma, who, in turn, left all to her younger sister Clara, who in turn, left all to her daughter, Theodora. Sources claim that Theodora, sometime in the 1950s or 60s, when moving from her apartment threw out a large box of old family keepsakes and stated, "I guess no one will ever be interested in this old stuff." Ouch!
