Hi Mary Zares,
you probably will get this information in Hamburg very short-dated at the tourist information. In the end you will need to do this trip not much more as a small scaled good map of the region. Excepting the greater motorways as the Autobahn and higher classified Bundesstraßen, it is possible to use all given roads for travelling by bicycle and individual planning for the best ways to visit all research places. If you want to visit the parishes for look-ups of the parish-books, you should of course make appointements before starting the journey, because of the mostly limited times of opening of the parish offices.
