I had asked for info as to areas of Baden Baaden and the Halle area and

like....since ancestors came from those areas and all died long before
we even knew they existed cannot ask family members.

I do not have your original post but all I can suggest is to Google

  Baden-Baden, Wuerttemburg or Wrttemburg

Halle and Saxony-Anhalt
  ( Pirl/Messner

names were from those areas and married into each family)

Googling Baden _Census I found this old GEN-DE list message:'

I have contacted the Statistisches Landesamt Baden-Wrttemberg on access to
the Baden census of 1855/1856 and they said it was published under the
following title:

"Beitrge zur Statistik der inneren Verwaltung des Groherzogthums Baden",
publisher: Chr. Fr. Mller'sche Hofbuchhandlung 1855 and 1856,

Does anyone know where a copy of this might reside? I could not find it in
the FHL library index.

Also Google Saxony + Census and Prussia + Census

And look in the FHL catalog.
