Noe of my sources for Pomerelia (Pommerellen) list such a family in
that province. However, there must be many villages called Tomaszewo
within Poland. It is probable that some of them were noble estates
and gave the name, Tomaszewski to various different familes. You
might find what you seek in other provinces of Poland.
The usual caution must be given in this and all other cases, that
not all modern -ski names are necessarilly noble. After the
partitions, the ending was sometimes added to non-noble names as a
synonym for anyone named *from* rather than *of* a given village.
Noble families also added -ski to the names not derived from noble
estates, to emphasise their nobility.
