Orte

Hallo,
ich habe eine Anfrage nach Ortsnamen bekommen, die mir nicht für unsere Gegend passend erscheinen. Ich finde sie nicht in den ost-westpreußischen Ortsverzeichnissen. Kann jemand helfen?
Beate

Lopaein
Rochnia liegt bei Mlawa
Sichelberg hieß früher Schirps.

Beate, my German is very bad, but I think you are asking about the location
of the three places listed. The Polish name for Sichelberg is today Sierpc.
It is located on Route 10 about 70 miles northwest of Warsaw and southeast
of Thorn/Torun.

We have just returned from a visit to that city and a nearby village where
we visited the remnant of our Neumann family.

Thank you Linda,
that´s what I expected: not East-Pussia.

A nice day to you Linda Pauling,

saw your name and found the same among my anchestry. If there is a connection, we
should find out that. Here is what I have:

Karl Friedrich ABLA (or ABLASS) * 12.10.1877 Kolacin, (StA. Ksiaz Nr.119),
                                 + 1.10.1948 Neusorg
Vater : Gustav ABLA (ABLASS) last place of residence Kolacin and
Mutter: Pauline ABLA(ABLASS) born PAULING, last residence was Lowenitz

The born Pauline PAULING was my Greatgreatgrandmother. So Kolacin must have been
anywhere in the "province" Posen. By the way and because I haven't yet donr to
much researching this line, every information about Kolacin, Lowenitz, ABLASS and
Pauline PAULINGs is welcomed.

with kind regards and hope who did return well and fine Hans Peter Albers

Thank you for your inquiry about our PAULING name. The records for our
family have been found in the Gilten church records back as far as 1545.
They lived in the small village of Norddrebber, Neustadt which is about 50km
north of Hannover.
