g/g/grandmother was related to these Schwartings. Any help would be
appreciated. I want to learn more about where my ancestors are from and any other
information about them.

I am decended from Bernhard Siems. I believe he is from Oldenburg and
emigrated to the United States, Baltimore Maryland in about 1863. He was involved
in the dye industry.

Karl SANDERS Family story is that Karl Sanders was an Officer (?) on the
sailing vessel "Union" This is the ship that Bernhard sailed on to reach
Baltimore.
Also in some papers handed down to me there is a letter from a man named
Röver was appointed the Counsel to Cuba by the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg. lThis
letter was in reply to a letter he had received from his sister Sophia that
had been sent some time ago from Europe. I don't know how this fits into my
family.
