Hello--I am trying to find out the names of the parents of Heinrich (Henry) Taphorn and where he and they lived. Henry was born May 1, 1841. On all of his papers he has stated he was born either in Oldenburg, Germany, Damme, Oldenburg Province, Germany or
Aldenberg, Germany. He does not give parents names on any papers. I have copies of his immigration on the ship Schiller from Bremen to Baltimore, arriving on October 26, 1860. He listed his age as 19 and he was a farmer. His mode of travel was steerage and his Manifest Number was ID#00015218. The name of the Captain of the ship was C. Bahr. I have copies of his naturalization in 1870. He married
Mary Feldhaus on May 1, 1866 in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. He died November 20, 1917. I
have papers from the funeral parlor and from the cemetary and have many census records. I have researched his descendants and
have up to the present information on them. My great grandfather was Clement Henry Taphorn born in Dinklage, Oldenburg, Germany and I believe that Heinrich Taphorn born in 1841 would be related to him. Is there anyone that can tell me what else I can do or where else I can
look to find out the information I need? Thank you in advance

You don't say WHY you need to know who this person is. Have you
checked the churchbooks of Damme? The emigration lists? Aldenberg is
obviously just a bad spelling of Oldenburg.
He does not give parents names on any papers. I have copies

You have much information about a possible non-relation. The Taphorn
name is not unique. There are bunches of them all over the
Oldenburger Münsterland. There may be no relationship.

Tell us what makes you think they are related.
