[ol]surnames

Hello!

I am looking for information on 2 ancestors namely, Mathais and his father Henry Braun who came to America around 1772-3. Henry died at sea. They came as endentured servants. Mathais eventually married but do not know name of wife. I am trying to find where they came from in Germany. The spelling became BROWN. Henry is my 5th great-grandfather. My grandfather is Irvin Henry Brown. This is on my mother's side.

The other ancestor I am looking for is Heinrich Francis (Franz ?) Wahmhoff who was born in 1813 in Prussia. There in Osnabruck and Wallenhorst I found names of several Wahmhoff's. Unfortunately, none speak English. I am looking for his parents and siblings and any further back if anyone knows of this family.

Please send in English as I do not understand the German Language. SORRY!. Any help would sure be appreciated as so hard for me to get to archives here in America. I live in Northern Wisconsin and all are several hundred miles away. Thank you in advance for any answers and help.

Surnames I am researching connected to family are: SHOUP-ROHRER-SPEILMAN
SNYDER-SOUDER

Hi Marilyn, do you have a SUSANNAH PRUELLA SHOUP, ABRAHAM, CATHERINE, ELIZABETH, HENRY, JOSEPH, MARGARET, MARY JANE, REBECCA, SEBASTIAM OR A WILLIAM in your line. Susannah married SAMUEL PEUGH JOHNSTON. I beleive that these people at one time lived in Penn.

Hi Anita, The Shoup I am looking for is Margaretta "Peggy" Shoup who
married John Brown in Stark County, Ohio in 1832. I have some Shoup info
but at this moment, can't place the names you mentioned. I have nothing on
her family as far as I know. If you come across my Margaretta, please let
me know OK? She has been my brick wall for 3 years. Thanks for getting in
touch. Marilyn
