Letter of 30 5 2002 asking about information about Dinkgreve, Hoeltermann, Sandt, Hawickhorst, Meyer, Kaetmann, Evers, Friehling, Gerding, Rueve, Korfage.
Dear One and All,
I`m Frei. Mauro Hawickhorst. OFM, an American Franciscan priest, living and working here in the Amazon since 1959. Im originally from Teutopolis, Ill.,
Its been a long time but I hope I can get started again on the Family Tree. Ive had a lot of trouble with the Internet, Computer and our Telephone Service for the last year but hope to get things going once more. And I first want to ask pardon for all the trouble I caused many of you with the Virus I picked up last year and sent on to many of you. I hope we have that cleared up. And please notice my new address; I can still receive messages with my old address ofm@netsan.com.br but I cannot send them for some reason or the other. Thats the way the Telephone Service is here in the Amazon. Any answers can be sent to either ofm@netsan.com.br or obidosofm@ligbr.com.br.
Im looking for information about the family names that I mentioned above.
Johan Dinkgreve, ? 1688, and Margaretha Dinkgrevesche, ? 1671, were my gggggg grandparents.
Their son, Henrich Dinkgreve, 1643 1692, married Catherina Hoelterman, my ggggg grandparents.
Gerdt Hawickhorst, 1686 - ?, and Catherina Maria Evers were my ggggg grandparents. Their son Franz Bruno Hawickhorst, 1700 1757, married Catherina Kaetmann, 1702 1786, who were my gggg grandparents.
Maria Elizabeth Sandt, 1776 1859, and Joh. Hermann Hawickhorst, 1783 1863, a grandson of Franz Bruno, were my gg grandparents. Their son, John Clement Hawickhorst, 1816 1869, married Maria Eliz Friehling, 1817 1880, who were my g grandparents. They were the first of my ancestors who migrated to the USA…
Hermann Rueve and an Anna ? were my ggggg grandparents. I dont have any dates on them but their son Hermann Ruewe, 1709 ?, married Angela Meyer, ? 1767, were my gggg grandparents.
. Bernard Gerding, 1812 1860, and Frances Dinggreve Korfage, 1816 1889, were my g grandparents.
I sent this list out about a years ago but who knows? Maybe there is some new information that someone has. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has ever heard of any of these names.
