When one marries into the Catholic faith - the children are raised Catholic
as a condition for blessing the marriage.
This happened to the Bartels from Oldenburg. They were Luthern and buried at
the Luthern Cemetery in N.Y. However their daughter married James Brady @
1890 and she converted to Catholicism. MariaTheresa Bartels is buried at a
Catholic Cemetery in N.Y.C.This oftened happened. Does no one out there know
of August Bartels? His father was also August and they were Luthern. Father
born @ 1810- son born @ 1830. children George, August, Wilehminnia, Anna
Maria, Maria Theresa, Sophia, Charles and more
