Cindy,
the naturalization records say they came from Westphalia. The census records listed Prussia or Oldenburg.
An other notice say Riesenbec Prussia. We checked Riesenbeck in Westphalia witout success.
Maybe we must check also Rödinghausen in Westphalia.

Just a note about the use of the word Prussia. You state Prussia or Oldenburg. Please look at the map on the following URL.

When you look at the map, you can see the problems when using the name Prussia. However, in this case Oldenburg was apparently not part of Prussia.

One thing I have found out, is that in Prussia, there is an execption to almost everything.
