Most of the SPLITTERs lived in the Newville area in Fulton twp, Rock County, WI.
And are buried in the Fassett cemetery; Edgerton, WI.

I have not found a link to Johann SPLETTER/SPLITTER in Germany.

But, there is a SPLITTER family in Lorraine, Kansas, USA. Records indicate a
Wilhelm Henry SPLITTER, Jr. b.18dec1833 in Damm, near Parchim Mecklenberg,
Germany, d.18nov1918 in Loarraine, Kansas,USA.

Also, Wilhelm Henry SPLITTER, Sr(father of Jr.),b.13mar1805, Splitter near East
Prussia, Tilst, now Sovetsk, USSR Russia; d.13aug1892, LaCrosse, Wisconsin,USA.

There does seem to be a connection between the Kansas and Wisconsin SPLITTERs;
at least as far we can tell. I(William Splitter) have been in contact with
Melvin Splitter of Lorraine, Kansas.
