Dear Sir.
I am seeking further information about my aunt Ms. Minnie Lea Ascher.
Minnie was born in Hamburg in 1888,moved over to Hannover (date unknown) and lived there until 1943
practicing as a social worker. In 1943 she was sent to Theresienstadt and from there to Auschwitz where
she perished in 1944. While in Hannover Minnie's address was Bergstr. 8.
I would very much like to learn more about her social contribution and whether there is any public recognition of her deeds.
I have recently been told that unlike other German cities Hannover won't install Stolpersteine for her Jewish victims. I would very much like to know why.
Thank you for your efforts in advance.
sincerely yours,
E. Morag.
