I'm attempting to help a new email friend get started with her search for
relatives from the general area of Minden. I'll paste her note to me below. She
is not presently on the WFA list - - I'll help her do that soon.
In the meantime, anyone can reach her directly at rebates@alltel.net or by
sending to me at paulandfrieda@aol.com or by posting a note on WFA which I
receive and can forward to her. WFA was very helpful to me when I first started
my search several years ago.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Paul Brandt

I am trying to locate the town in Germany that my grandmother, Fridericka
Breyer or Brier came from. She listed Hanover, but I believe she meant province,
not city. She married Carl Kaehlert and they left Hamburg, in 1892, for
Arenzeville, Illinois (Cass County). I find Breyers, Sternbergs, Nergenahs, and
Schnackes settled there, so I think that is why they went there. They all came
from the Minden area. Any information would be appreciated. Bernita Kaehlert
