Dear Mecklenburg List,
I need help reading the German on my ancestor's 1837 military discharge
papers. Johann Friedrich Lemons LADEWIG was in the "4th Compagnie der II
Mousquetiers Bataillons" - Grossherzogs von Mecklenburg-Schwerin. The
grandduke at the time was Paul Friederich.
I can read parts of it, but some parts which are in old script are difficult
for me. Please let me know if you can help me. I can send an attachment
with a scanned image of the document. It is a beautiful document.
