Meier and Meyer--Ship Orient-- Bremen to New York--October 2, 1934

Hello Everyone,

If you are looking for a Meier or Meyer who may have traveled Bremen to New York in 1834, please post the name of the individual/s to this list. I have a copy of the Orient's passenger list and will be happy to look for you. There are many Meier and Meyer folks on board this ship--looks like maybe a large family or several families--maybe all related. (I'm still trying to decipher the rest of the names.) The list includes a column for "died on the voyage" and it appears that several passengers' names are marked.

The Orient was a rather small sailing vessel--only about 350 tons--60+ passengers. It probably was a rough trip. Captain's name was Nathaniel Kimball.

A great big thank you to each of you who have so kindly helped me! Great people on this list! I hope I can help someone else!

Marsha
