To whom it may concern,
Im making my own research about my family genealogy and unfortunately no
much to trace after my greatgrandfather called Emil Heinrich Maschmann born
in 1869. At my fathers a found a lot of pictures of unknown people and one
Emma Wendt geb. Maschmann which I guess can be her sister. All the pictures
and notes in German dated and placed in Hamburg. I know Hamburg is really
big and even when I can understand German, I cant trace my greatgrandfather
family. Could you pls tell me if you can help or if I there is any place
where I can check about Germans emigration? My greatgrandfather got
married in Cape Town where he seemed to be part of Saint Martinis
Evangelische Lutheran Kirche member as one of his sons was registered there.
Then he and his family came to Argentina.
