I have been researching my husband's GGGrandfather, whose name is Martin Christopher Coleman and who was born, according to his Death Certificate and other pertinent papers, in Hanover, Germany about 1799. He was a British Subject. I have no knowledge of how genealogy works in Germany, and was wondering if you could put me on the right track?
