Hi!

I am looking for further information on Ludwig ROHDE, who I believe was a tax collector in Himmelsthuer near Hildesheim in the mid- to late 1840s. I don't have a date of birth for this man, although I am guessing he would have been born sometime during the first decade of the 1800s or shortly thereafter. I don't know the name of his wife, but I believe he had a son named Theodore who would have been born around 1831 in the Kingdom of Hannover, if I am not mistaken. If you think you may have further information on this man, please get in touch.

      Have you ever looked at the LDS microfilm for Himmelsthür? This is
what they have:
  Kirchenbuch, 1649-1852 Katholische Kirche Himmelsthür (Kr. Hildesheim)

  Kirchenbuch, 1853-1874 Evangelische Kirche Himmelsthür (Kr. Hildesheim

     If you look at the LDS Family History Catalog, spell it this
way--Himmelsthur. There are also some civil registration records for
1808-1815.
