Henry LOHMANN was born February 10, 1835 in Bunde, Konigswald, Prussia. This
is the area in Prussia that I am trying to find information about. Any help
as to where to find information would be appreciated. Are there other

He married Sophia Dorothea Christina SEEMANN who was born June 04, 1833 in
Zernin, Mecklenburg, Schwerin, Germany. They were married after coming to

1. The small town or village of B U N D E is located in northern Germany
near the mouth of river Ems into the north sea, neigbouring the Netherlands.
Bunde belonged since 1815 to the Hannover kingdom, which was occupied by
Prussia in 1866.
There is another place B � N D E (with modified vowel U) in Westphalia on
Prussian teritory.
You mentioned KONIGSWALD. Konigswald does not exist in present-day Germany.
But there are places
    K � N I G S W A L D and twice K � N I G S W A L D E (all of them with
modified vowel O).
a. K�nigswald is located near the town of Cassel, former duchy of
Kurhessen.
b. K�nigswalde is neighbouring Czechoslovakia in the former Saxonian
kingdom.
3. The other K�nigswalde is near the town of Zwickau, not far away from
Dresden in the former kingdom of Saxonia.
Question: Are you sure your spelling of the names is absolutely correct? And
do you have any further details about Heinrich Lohmann and Bunde?

Hallo Tory,

I think the place you are looking for is located in what was Ostprussen
(East Prussia). According to the Ortsnamenverzeichnis it would be located
just east of Danzig in Kreis Preu�isch Holland, province of Ost Prussia.
Also not far SW of the city of K�nigsberg which today is part of Russia.
The village is listed as 'Bunden'

Hope this gives you some idea of the location.
