Thanks for the information. No, Josephine Knaap has nothing to do with my
Dieke or other research. My g grandfather Knöpfel had 5 siblings and I have
traced almost all of their families. I would just like to make mention of the
town/village where Josephine came from. I have noticed that the Knaap spelling
is Dutch. I have several documents which are signed by Josephine and she
clearly spelled her name Knaap. The church baptism register in Brooklyn, NY where
this town of Mochle is mentioned had her name spelled as Knabe which I
suppose might be phonetic.
