My name is Iris Gonzalez (geb. Laudien). My grandfather Karl Laudien (1875-1952) was born in Koenigsberg. I am trying to complete my grandpaternal pedigree and have found a good deal of information on this listserve thru my google searches. But there are some missing links and questions regarding the pedigree which I am listing below.
[1] Are Theodor David Laudien (born 16Aug1721 in Kowno) and Anna Beate Fuchs the parents of Gottfried Laudien (born 8Feb1765 in Koenigsberg)? If not, who were the parents?
[2] Gottfried's son Carl Laudien (4Oct1799-28Feb1865) and his wife Agatha Landmann (born 8Aug1803-died1866) had 10 children according to what my late aunt told me many years ago based on a document she had. But I only have the names of 9 -- the 10th might have died early, or have been disowned, or ran away ... I'd be interested in knowing if there really was a 10th child.
[3] I have a small watercolor landscape signed Ankermann that was in my Laudien grandparents' house. I have found several Ankermann - Laudien marriages. My question would be: is it known which Ankermann/s was/are painters? Unfortunately, the signature did not have a first name initial.

Have you looked for the church records for your forebears on
familysearch.org (LDS Church)? I suspect that if you are able to find
the churches associated with their births, marriages, deaths, you will
be happy with the results.

one of my ancestors is JOHANNA Louise Tugendreich Ankermann, born 1830
in Peisten (not far from Koenigsberg). I tried to research and connect
the Eastprussian Ankermann families during the last few years.
As far as I know by now there were 2 painters among the Ankermann
families in Eastprussia. Both were women - one of them was Elfriede
Schnell, daughter of Auguste CLARA Ankermann. Sie died in Koenigsberg on
June 16th, 1930.
Unfortunately I do not know the name of the other one. I would be very
interested to find out. I found several very nice drawings in the
internet signed 'Ankermann'. But I do not know the name of the painter.
There is a 'Gottfried Laudien' in my database, born August 3rd 1765, +
September 4th 1824. His son Theodor (1801-1859) was married to Mathilde
Albrecht - their son Heinrich Laudien (1829-1893) was married to Johanna
Mathilde Bertha Ankermann and their daughter Minna Antonie Kathinka
Laudien (born about 1835) was married to Eduard Wilhelm HUGO Ankermann.
Maybe we can find a connection ...
