Krueger / Kuhlow/ Schnaidt / Buggert

I am researching the Krueger (Kruger) and Kuhlow families that immigrated from Mecklenburg to Detroit, Michigan in the 1870's . I know that my great grand father Carl Kruger (b. 10-20-1845 d. 8-3-1914) had a brother Adloph and a sister Anna. Carl Kruger married Wilhelmine Kuhlow (b. 10-21-1855 d. 10-4-1929). Wilhelmina Kuhlow was also from Meckenlburg and her parents were Friedrich Kuhlow and Wilhelmine Voigt. Other Kuhlow children were: Henrietta, Augusta, and Friedrich.

Anna Krueger married into the Schnaidt family and I have old family photos of them.

I also have a portrait photo of Buggert children who were related to the Kuhlow Family.

I have an old photo that was taken in Mecklenburg and it shows a family that I cannot identify. There are no names on the picture. The studio was "F.W. Steffen, Photograph - - Friedland in Mecklbg." The photo appears to be from the mid to late 1800's.

Thanks, Pam

Hello I am interested in seeing your photos and do you know which towns in
Mecklenburg these families come from? My family is from the Friedland area.
Salow, Schwanbeck, Kloster, Ramelow. Schwanbeck Parish. My family name is
Brueggert or Bruechert. We have Kruegers in our tree. Johann Heinrich Herman
b. 2/18/1853 M. Marie Sopie Friedrike Brueggert. Their children were Herman
and Minnie. All of these settled in the Chebanse, Illinois area around 1888.
I am always trying to find new info for my tree. I am looking forward to
hearing from you.

Hello Sue,

it's not clear to me what you are looking for.
The marriage of the parents ceratinly is
19.10.1851 Salow, parish Schwanbeck
Brüggert, Joh. Friedr. Wilh. (*27, Pferde-Knecht, Tagel.)
   father: Chrn. Adam (Tabakpflanzer)
Schönbeck, Marie Soph. Frieder. (* 6.11.1818)
   father: Chrn., (Tagel.)

I assume that you already have this and more.
A marriage Krüger & Brüggert is not in Schubert's marriage
register of that area. But this goes up to 1875 only.

Sincerely,
Hans-Dietrich Gronau

No I did not have that info. My main family lines of interst are
the Kruegers and Kuhlows. Since I recently found old photos and see
that in Detroit there were marriages into the Schaidt and Buggert
families I was looking for anyone else researching their
descendants. They may be interested in my photos. They might
also be able to tell me who else immigrated in my family line.

Also since I know that Anna Krueger was the sister of my great
grandfather Charles Krueger (Carl Kruger) and that she married into
the Schaidt family if would find their descendants could find out what
happened to them and where they are now.

The Buggert family is related to the Kuhlow family in Detroit. I
have a photo of 3 Buggert children from the mid to late 1880's.

One mystery I would really like to find is what happend to the
descendants of my great grandfather's brother Adolph Krueger (b.
1855). He married Augusta Kuhlow(b.1857) (my great grand mother's
sister). We know that they had at least one child named Otto.
My mother remember's Otto and his children from when she was
little. However they were since lost track of. Our Census
records only show us up to 1930. My special interest is because I
have a cousin who looks exactly like Augusta nee Kuhlow and keeps a
portrait picture of her. We would be interested to see if there
are descendants of Augusta with the same resemblence.

I guess my interests are in all directions so it may seem
   confusing. Sorry.

Hello Prof Gronau
Thank You for Responding to my post.
I am looking for information on Christian Adam Brueggert and his father
Joachim Caspar Brueggert. I know that Chr Adam was born around May 4, 1794
and he had three marriages.
I have a town where they are supposed to be from that I cannot find any
information on, this town is Friederikensdorf, Meck-Strelitz.
Additionally The spelling of the name in the LDS films from Schwanbeck
Parish is Bruechert. The translation of the name on the LDS web site is
Brueckert.
If you have any thoughts I would be very happy to hear from you. Thank -You
again.

Sue:

I think I will have to e-mail you directly to send you copies of the pictures. Is that alright? I think my relatives were from Mecklenberg-Strelitz. I have been doing a little research a bit at a time over the years so my records have gotten scattered a bit. I will get my info together and e-mail you.

Take care, Pam
