Hope I can get information to a question posed in English. I can read
German, but writing is hard.

I have just joined this list on the suggestion of someone in another
list, that this might be the way to get information about Schlesien ancestors.

Am intersted in any information about the family KRISTELLER, Wolff Moses
, Wollstein, 1781-1856; his son Louis, Wollstein-Kuttlau, 1817-1863;
Louis' wife, Rebecca MEDRITZ, Wollstein-Berlin, 1814-1900.

Den Ort Wollstein kann ich in meinem Schlesienbuch nicht finden. Si.

Hallo Hanna,

es gibt (bzw. gab) in Schlesien keinen Ort mit dem Namen Wallstein. Das gilt
f�r Preu�isch-Schlesien. In �sterreichisch-Schlesien, im Bezirk J�gerndorf
aber gibt (gab) es einen Ort mit dem Namen Wallstein.

Hanna, I found this Information, maybe it will be of some help to you:

Vollstein (Wollstein), Prussia [Poland] 200+/- miles west of Berlin -
also found Wollstein now Wolsztyn (Poland) since 1919

   WOLLSTEIN, a town of Prussian Poland, 14 miles W. S. W. of Posen.
Population 2000.
