Konrad Ebeling and Caroline Lindemann

Hello,

I am searching for some information on the parents of my great great
grandparents who came to the US in the early 1850s. I do not know for sure
when either immigrated or what port they came in to.

Here is what I know from the marriage record I found at First St Paul's
Lutheran Church in Chicago Illinois:

Heinrich Fredrich Konrad Ebeling, b 28 Oct 1830 in Pegesdorf, Hanover

Married on 17 Feb 1856

Fredericke Wilhelmine Caroline Lindemann, b 12 March 1834 in Lodingsen,
Hanover

He was called Conrad and she, Caroline.

He died 11 Oct 1868 and she died 9 July 1871 leaving six children as
orphans. Their oldest son was my great great grandfather Heinrich.

They were buried in Winders cemetery in Chicago, next to a Dorothea and Carl
Lindemann - who I suspect may have been Caroline's brother, and who raised
at least 2 of the children. Because of the Great Chicago Fire in the fall of
1871, research in Chicago is difficult.

Any information you can give me would be so greatly appreciated. I have been
advised to consult the libraries and churches in the 2 towns to see if I can
get someone to research further.

Thanks,
Carole Oetke Townsend
