Dear Listies,
I don't read German well enough but I saw some of my names in the post from Ronald Schmiers. Can anybody tell me if these names might be connected.
In my Kitten family from Ibbenbueren, I have:
Anna Maria KOETTERS, born about 1737 - place and parents unknown.
she married
Herman Heinrich KITTEN, born December 1734 in Ibbenbueren.
That's one mystery - her family and more information about her.
In the same family, different branch, I have:
Clara Elizabeth SCHNIER, born Feb. 9, 1827 in Greven, daughter of Anton SCHNIER and Theresia KELLER.
Clara married:
Johann Bernard BERGHAUS, born January 23, 1825 - place and parents unknown.
This man - also called "Barney Barkhouse" in the Cincinnati, Ohio census in 1860, is the biggest problem in all my research. any help with him or any of the others is greatly appreciated.
All of them are catholic.
