My ggg grandfather Herman Henry Karhoff was born in 1809 in Hannover,
Germany. He married Mary Elizabeth Adelaide Grothe, who was born in
1810 in Hanover, Germany.
I had cross referenced all the Karhoff and Grothe names in the current
White pages of the Germany phone book and found a common town in
GOTTINGEN.
Is Gottingen considered to be part of Hannover?
I would be interested in a look-up by someone with either Hannover
emigration information or from someone in the Gottingen area.
