Hello:

Ich haette gerne informationen ueber Heinrich (Henry) Schuehmann/Schuemann, der im April 1825 in Schwerin/Mecklenburg geboren wurde.

Auch von der Frau Ida Itrie, die ebenfalls in Mecklenburg, Deutschland geboren ist. Zusammen hatten sie 2 Kinder: Johann und Caroline.

Sie kamen ca. 1851-54 zu den Vereingten Staaten. Man glaubt, dass Henry und Ida im Hafen von New York angekommen sind. Aber es ist nicht sicher. Ida is ca 1852-53 gestorben.

Ausserdem haette ich gerne informationen von der Familie Heinrich und Ida. Heinrichs zweite Frau hiess Christina Wulf. Sie war ebenfalls von Schwerin/Mecklenburg. Sie wurde im Februar 1819 geboren. Jegliche information waere angebracht.

Hello Beverly,

Have you checked the Hamburg Passenger Lists? There is a good chance that your ancestors travelled via Hamburg. The lists started in 1850 and I know that the later ones, at least, gave the last place of residence.

I have the 1819 Mecklenburg Census Index on microfiche and found 24 entries for Schümann - unfortunately all over Mecklenburg, and not confined to one area. Wulfs are everywhere, it is a common name.

Itrie does not sound very German. It does not occur in Germany's online White Pages, nor in the 1819 Census Index. Could it be a mis-spelling of Itze?
