Hi,
I am also researching Holz, which I understand is perhaps a less common name
in the area. My Holz relatives were from Neuwedel, which was Prussia and may
now be Poland. The father's name was Gottlieb.
I'm not researching Schroeder, but my Holz relative here in Rochester married
a William Schroeder from, I believe, the same area.
