HOLTZ genealogy (as far back as I can go) begins with:
Catherine Dorothea Holst/ Holtz/ Holz who must have been born in the late 17th century. She gave birth to a son
Heinrich Ludwig Holtz 6 Oct, 1814 in Sembzin, Mecklenburg who married:
Sophia Friderike Marie Roehrdanz / Regedanz 27 January, 1837. Their children were:
Karoline Sophie Christine Holz who married Henry Menk
August Karl Friedrich Holz who married Anna Schroeder
Sophie Friderike Christine Holz who married Fritz Martens
Henriette Friedrike Marie Holtz -unmarried
Friedrich Joachin Christian Holtz who married Maria Dorothea Ebel
Johann Hartwig Christian Holtz who married Minnie Keel.
All these marriages were in Germany. Almost the entire family emigrated to Kalamazoo county, MI, USA
and were farmers.
