Ich erhielt folgende Anfrage von einer H�ft aus Neuseeland:
My husband's great grandfather Carl August Heinrich H�ft was born in
Ueckermunde, made his way about 1880 to settle in Tonga in the South
Pacific. His Samoan wife and some of his children came to New Zealand for
their schooling and remained here in NZ whilst Carl August Heinrich remained
in Tonga, eventually dying there in 1944.
After many years of research I finally made contact with a descendant of a
brother of Carl August Heinrich who lives in Germany and she wrote to the
local Ueckermunde church and received back some information which she has
passed on to me. It was so exciting to finally find out where Carl August
Heinrich Hoeft was born.
The Hoeft name was spelt H�ft.
We do know that he was a ships carpenter,
I will attach the record sent to me from Ueckermunde for Hermann.

Married to Bertha Frederike geb Saalow and known to have died about 1911
in Stettin.
