Must be Hesse Darmstadt. Just go to Mapquest.com or expedia.com and look up
Darmstadt.

I keep thinking of stuff--there were two main HESSEs, Hesse-Darmstadt and
Hesse-Cassel (Kassel), the second part being the name of the principal city
of each. These were former independent states that were incorporated into
Germany. I'm not sure of all of the exact geography. There were other
HESSEs also, (Hessen to the Germans). That geography was pretty convoluted
and I don't have it all straight. Some native Germans may come through with
a better answer.

It is obviously a short form for HESSEN-DARMSTADT, the southern part of the present-day federal state HESSEN.
