Henry Steding Genealogy

My Great grandparents were Henry (Heinrich) Steding (born 1845 in Hannover,
d 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA) and Karoline Niemeir (b 1851 in ???, d 1897 in
Pittsburgh, PA). I am trying to find who their parents and siblings were
and where they lived in Prussia before emigrating to Pittsburgh, PA. I do
not know if they were married in Prussia and emigrated together or they
emigrated separately and married here in Pennsylvania. One important clue
that might help to verify the correct Henry (Heinrich) Steding is that he
had a brother George Steding that also emigrated to Pittsburgh, PA.

I will appreciate all information found about my ancestors. Thank you.
With love in Christ,

Hi George,
You may want to also try the Hannover list since it sounds more likely that they came from that area (which bordered Oldenburg) as opposed to Oldenburg itself, unless you have some specific reason for thinking that they came from Oldenburg.
If you have any additional details, such as religion (Catholic or Lutheran), (approximate) years of immigration, or hometowns other Germans in their US location/parish (people tended to travel to where family members and friends had already settled). The more information you can gather in the US first, the easier it will be to find their hometown(s) in Germany.
Also, keep in mind that even if they were married, spouses sometimes emigrated separately (commonly the husband would go first and send back money for the rest of the family).
Thanks,Don
