I am descended from Peter Born (DOB March 30, 1827) who emigrated to the United States through the Port of New York (City) on April 6, 1852. On his emigration form and application for citizenship he listed 'Bavaria' as his place of birth. Any other information about has been lost. Members of my family have prepared an extensive family tree from Peter Born forward here in the United States, but we are unable to connect back to Germany. Can anyone help us?
